Vol. 8 featuring M-Dok
Marcus Elston, a Chicago-born creative who derived his DJ name through the elements of hip-hop as the artist (Merdok aka Murdok).
The journey began in the summer of 2008. Originating from Pilsen, on the lower west Southside of Chicago is where M-Dok and several peers began to host underground warehouse parties and weekly House parties. All while producing and showcasing their own music that wasn’t available anywhere.
15 years around the craft, the art form of djing and curating music events in Pilsen and neighboring areas is embedded in M-Dok’s created work. (DJing amongst Legends, Pioneer, and Superstars DJs from House to Hip-Hop, Latino genre alike.)
M-Dok has helped direct and coordinate Shows for well-known Chicago festivals such as My House Music Fest, Chicago Michelada, Pilsen Taco Fest, and the Team that brought Don Omar and Ivy Queen to Chicago.
